Southern Maine is an awesome place to live.
Only a couple of miles from the beach, a short drive or train ride to Portland, Biddeford, Saco, OOB, Kittery, Portsmouth, Ogunquit, York. Maybe an hour and a half or two to Boston.
The schools are great, and it’s an ideal place to raise kids. It’s safe and natural and the people are down to earth.
A quick ride on the weekend to Shawnee or Sunday River for winter adventure.
Water everywhere. Lakes, rivers, creeks, harbors, ocean waves, lighthouses, pebble beaches.
Snow. Plenty of snow. Get your XC skis out.
I can’t think of anywhere else I’ve ever been that I’d rather live year round.
